Gadabout Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026
Gadabout helps you discover events, farmers markets, sports watch parties, and happy hours near a location you choose. This policy explains the limited information used to provide that service.
Information Gadabout processes
- Location: With your permission, Gadabout uses your precise location, or a place you enter, to search for nearby listings. The coordinates, search radius, date range, list type, and general place name are sent to the Gadabout discovery service only when you start or refresh a search.
- On-device information: Saved listings, family-mode preference, notification preferences, and recent results are stored on your device. Gadabout does not provide user accounts.
How information is used
Search information is used only to find and return relevant nearby listings. Search job records automatically expire within six hours, and cached results expire within three hours. Gadabout does not use advertising SDKs, track you across apps or websites, or sell personal information.
Service providers and links
Cloudflare operates the discovery service, and Anthropic processes search requests. They process information on Gadabout's behalf under their own privacy and security terms. Results may link to third-party listing sites, Apple Maps, or Calendar; those services have their own privacy practices.
Your choices
You can deny or revoke location, notification, and calendar permissions in iOS Settings. You can search a typed place instead of sharing device location. Removing the app deletes its locally stored data.
